Rg - les noms des parents de Jean-Baptiste Tourangeau sont omis. Selon PRDH inconnu. Présents sont Francois Tourangeau et plusieurs amis qui ont sousignés

Au baptême de leur fille Madeleine le 10 avril 1789 à Québbec. la marraine est Madeleine Chabot, épouse de François Tourangeau, grand-mère de l'enfant. Madeleine Chabot s'est mariée le 2 mai 1768 à François Tourangeau. Il n'y a pas d'enfants connus de ce lit. En 1768 elle était veuve de François Vivier - m 5 novembre 1764 à Québec.
Probablement Jean-Baptiste Tourangeau était un enfant adopté de François Tourangeau et Marie-Madeleine Chabot.

I have found since then this information about the godfather:

Francois Degre is the godfather of the infant Jean Baptiste, baptized on 5/28/1764 in Quebec with "parents inconnu". It so happens that Francois Degre was the husband of MM Chabot's half sister Marie Catherine Vaillancourt.
In a nutshell her brother-in-law (from half sister) was the godfather and her sister-in-law was the godmother of the above infant.

Person: Jean Baptiste Tourangeau - married to Marguerite Lemaitre (Jugon) on January 27,1784(212868). There is also a contract I found dated January 18,1784 (763487).

The contract dated Jan. 18,1784 has Marie Madeleine Chabot and Francois Tourangot listed as the parents but notes that they are most likely the adoptive parents.

In searching though the baptisms of infants in Quebec parish named Jean Baptiste with no last name I found a baptism dated May 28, 1764 (248938). FELICITE PETITCLAIR is the godmother and her husband is Joseph Chabot. Joseph Chabot is Marie Madeleine Chabot's brother.

I also found a baptismal record dated 1789-04-09 for Marie Madeleine Tourangeau (628813) the daughter of Jean Baptiste Tourangeau and Marguerite Lemaitre. M Madeleine Chabot is the godmother and is the child's grandmother according to the baptismal record.

I have not found any records that directly connect the Jean Baptiste born on May 28,1764 to the Jean Baptiste Tourangeau married to Marguerite Lemaitre. I believe that it is highly probable that it is the same person.
