AUGUSTA -- Desneiges Pare Beaulieu, 85, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2007, at the Maine Veterans Home in Augusta following a long illness.

She was born in Augusta on March 11, 1922, the daughter of George Pare and Adele (Parent) Pare.

Mrs. Beaulieu resided in Augusta her entire life, attended St. Augustine School and Cony High School, was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and was a former member of the Calumet Snowshoe Club.

Mrs. Beaulieu worked for many years at the Edwards Mill, APD Market, Sunset Market and St. Paul's Center.

She loved her dogs, enjoyed shopping at Mardens with her brother "Babe," playing beano, eating Maine lobster and spending summers at the camp on China Lake and frequent visits to the ice cream shack, but most of all she loved her family.

The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the dedicated staff at the Maine Veterans Home, who took wonderful care of Mrs. Beaulieu.

She was predeceased by her husband, Armand Beaulieu; a sister, Lucienne Beaulieu; brothers Robert "Babe" Pare and Joseph Laurier Pare; and grandson Paul Beaulieu.

She is survived by twin sons, Roland and wife, Melody, of Farmingdale and Clement and wife, Brenda, of Sidney; and son Ronald "Brownie" of Augusta. She is also survived by a brother, Laurent Pare of Farmingdale, seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours are 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 20, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Augusta.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Desneiges Beaulieu to the Maine Veterans Home, 310 Cony Road, Augusta, ME 04330.

Arrangements are under the care of Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St, Augusta.
