Lionel Perrier dies suddenly

Lionel Perrier, 39 year old Ottawa Electric Railway employe, died suddenly on Thursday after he suffered a seizure at his work in the Champagne car barns. Mr. Perrier resided at 31 Papineau Street. A fellow employe in the barns reported Perrier had complained of feeling ill shortly after eating dinner, but, thinking the ailment was only temporary, remained at his work. After he collapsed on the floor, several nearby workmen came to his aid. Dr. A.F. Dunn pronounced him dead. No inquest will be held. Born in Ottawa Mr. Perrier was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Albert Perrier. He married 15 years ago. He attended St. Anne's Church and was a member of the International Union of Street Railway Employes. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Jean Gérard, Jean Louis, and Albert all of Ottawa, five daughters, Irène, Jeannine, Alice, Pierrette and Lise, all of Ottawa; eight brothers, René, George and Oscar of Toronto, and Alfred, Émile, Ernest, Lucien Mazenod all of Ottawa. The funeral will be held Monday morning from the parlors of Gauthier & Co, 239 St. Patrick street to the Ste Anne's Church for requiem high mass at eight o'clock. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Ottawa.
