Biographie Charette Rosalie-Delia

TUPPER LAKE — Rosalie D. Proulx, 87, of Tupper Lake, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born April 29, 1920 in Belmont, she was the daughter of Leo and Floss-Hare (Paquin) Charette. Mrs. Proulx attended Holy Ghost Academy and married Raymond Proulx on Nov. 21, 1938 at St. Paul's Church in Piercefield.

Rosalie was a home maker all of her life. She did work for a time as a housekeeper for the Lowe's camp at Mt. Sabbatis and as a cashier for the Tupper Lake State Theatre.

Her hobbies included bingo, knitting and crocheting and she was a past Senior Companion.

She is survived by five daughters: Rayalda France and her husband Richard of Bennington, Vt., Margaret Boudreau and her husband Hubert of Tupper Lake, Barbara Hinojosa and her husband Felix of Jacksonville, Fla., Colleen Degrace of Saranac Lake, Mary Simpson and her husband Steven of San Antonio, Texas; one son, James and his wife Patricia of Watertown; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Charrette and his wife Agnes of Colton; and two sisters: Yvonne LaFave and Florence Tarbox, both of Tupper Lake.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Raymond, in 2003 and one sister, Lucille Bedore. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 29 at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30 at the Holy Name Church in Tupper Lake. Burial will follow in the St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
