Luce County, Michigan, Marriage Records show Philippe (Phillip) Couture as witness to the marriage of his brother, Abraham, with Albina (Almina) Sicard at Newberry, Luce Co., MI, USA on 02 Aug 1897. Family history recounts death due to blow on head from slipping on icy sidewalk/steps or falling through ice in USA. If such an accident occurred, it may have been in either Michigan or Ashland, Wisconsin, where Abraham Couture's family is found on the 1900 US Census. It is believed Philippe never married.
